About

I am a Marie Curie Research Fellow working at Lund University on a project investigating partial migration in freshwater fish. I have a diverse range of interests but broadly my research aims to understand the proximate and ultimate factors that drive intraspecific variation in the wild, and the ecological and evolutionary consequences of this variation. I have worked with guppies to ask questions at a proximate level: how can early environmental influences shape behavioural and morphological development in animals? I currently work with migratory dimorphism in roach, a fish that partially migrates from shallow lakes into the connected streams overwinter. In addition to these projects I have worked with a number of other species, including mangrove killifish and red ants, and questions related to individual differences in behaviour (i.e. animal personality), social networks and information transmission, sexual segregation in wild populations and mating behaviour. I am currently a subject editor for Oikos. Contact me for .pdfs!
