About
I am working on methods of measuring and comparing eye data quality, in terms of the accuracy and precision of eye movement data. This work will lead to an international standard for eye data quality.
I'm also developing a project for a gaze based communication system for non verbal autistics and special populations, using combined basic and applied approaches to eye and brain based data and an experimental technique to interface design.
I'm also exploring methods of treating eye and brain data, machine learning and formal models of attention, with a view to a larger research project proposal.
Finally, I work on getting measures out of eye data, under various constraints, as they relate to human cognition. I am working on ways of characterising these constraints, such as identifying noise using calculus based metrics, interpolating velocity profiles from sample data, and conducting experiments to relate eye movements to cognitive functioning and neural processes in normal and special populations.
